Template:Superseded/doc

This is a documentation subpage for Template:Superseded (see that page for the template itself).
It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

Purpose[edit source]

This template has been created to identify articles that are out of date, but there is a reason to keep them in their original format, such as a syllabus from a presentation, rather than flag the article as {{outdated}}.

When this template is added to a page it will be added to the Category:Archived articles

Mark the article as superseded

This article has been superseded, and it is retained primarily for historical interest.

Specify the title of the superseding page:

This article has been superseded by About the Wiki, and it is retained primarily for historical interest.

To link more than one page, type the intended wording in wikified form: {{superseded|'''[[About the Wiki]]''' and '''[[Get started in the Wiki]]'''}}
