Template:PD-author/doc

This is a documentation subpage for Template:PD-author (see that page for the template itself).
It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

Usage

{{PD-author|name}} is for works put in the public domain by another author.

This template should be used for authors who uploaded their own works to another wiki before they were copied to here. Use {{PD-self}} for works uploaded and self-published by authors for the first time here on this wiki.

This template puts images into the Category:User-created public domain images.
