This is the {{HistRecColl}} Wiki template. This template is used for formatting the text and links for FamilySearch Historical Record Collections citations. Three parameters are required:
- 1. either the collection number, or the countryId number
- 2. whether it is the collection, or countryId number
- 3. either the collection title, or the countryId name
Title collection numbers. When you bring up a title in the FamilySearch Historical Record Collections, you will find the collection number at the end of the Internet URL. For example, if you open FamilySearch Historical Record Collections, click on the Place United States, then click Missouri, then click the title Missouri Deaths and Burials, 1867-1976, you will see the Internet URL for this collection ends with the number 1680837.
- Using it in the template. If you want the Wiki template to link to this title, enter this collection number 1680837 in the template as the first parameter. Enter the word collection as the second parameter. Copy and paste the collection title Missouri Deaths and Burials, 1867-1976 into the template as the third parameter, like this:

Place countryId numbers. When you bring up a Place in the FamilySearch Historical Record Collections for viewing multiple titles, you will find the countryId number at the end of the Internet URL. For example, if you open FamilySearch Historical Record Collections, click on the Place United States, then click Missouri, you will see the Internet URL for this place ends with the countryId number 38.
- Using it in the template. If you want the Wiki template to link to this place and show multiple titles, enter this countryId number 38 in the template as the first parameter. Enter the word countryId as the second parameter. Enter the Place name Missouri into the template as the third parameter, like this:

An optional parameter disp= can be specified, allowing you to control the link text, for example
