Template Usage

This template is used in the To Browse This Collection section for collections that use a DGS (fakey) browse. Using a Scheduled= parameter the template will inform readers the collection has not been published, or display the instructions to view the images in connection with a Digital Folder Number List page in a separate window.

Template Parameters

The template contains three parameters:

1. Page
2. CID
3. Scheduled

Page

The wiki article page that contains the Digital Folder Number List. This link needs to be formatted as an external link, so the page opens in a new window.

CID

The CID for the collection. This template is different from other others used in FSHR articles as it does not require the letters CID to be included with the CID number.

Scheduled

This parameter works just the same as it does in our other templates. It's absence or presence triggers the different actions of the template.

Scheduled = parameter present

You will be able to view images in this collection when it is published.

To view images in this collection:

1. Look at the District of Columbia, Marriages Digital Folder Number List article to determine the folder/film number for the images you want to see
2. Go to the Browse Page
3. Select the Film number to view the images

DGS stands for Digital Genealogical Society also known as an Image Group Number. Each set of digital images is assigned a DGS number for identification purposes.
