  • Bronze Age: Evidence of habitation.
  • Iron Age: Inhabited by the Reti people.
  • Roman Era: Crossed by the "Claudia Augusta Altinate" road.
  • 1160: First documented mention of a stable settlement and the "de Telvo" family.

Jurisdictions:

  • Roman Empire: Part of the Roman Empire.
  • Lombard Rule: Annexed to the Duchy of Feltre, then the Duchy of Trento.
  • Frankish Empire: Under Frankish rule.
  • 952: Passed to the Duchy of Bavaria.
  • 976: Passed to the Duchy of Carinthia.
  • 1027: Part of the Episcopal Principality of Feltre.
  • 1228: End of the bishop-count's dominion.
