Template talk:FHL: Difference between revisions

[[User:Dianekay]] contacted me about some of the FHL links she had been added returning an error. The examples of links producing this are in the page/section [[Franklin County, Illinois#Land_and_Property]]. Looking at the links that have been added using {{tl|FHL}} template, these all use the '''<tt>item</tt>''' parameter. I then compared the URL produced by the template for these links and the links in the catalog (once I had performed a manual lookup). I believe that there must have been a recent change in the way these URLs are produced in the catalog. Part of the URL has changed from '''<tt>catalog.familysearch.org</tt>''' to '''<tt>catalog-search-api</tt>''' and this needs to be reflected in the template for the '''<tt>item</tt>''' parameter. --[[User:Cottrells|Steve]] ([[User talk:Cottrells|talk]] | [[Special:Contributions/Cottrells|contribs]]) 20:13, 27 July 2011 (UTC)  

 

:I will be very happy to fix this, but would like to hear from the FHLC folks about any other changes that may have happened. They indicated that the links would not change. So much for that, but at least it is easy to change within a template. My testing indicates that that type of searching seems to be the only one affected.
