*The Family History Library has an extensive collection of almost 50,000 published U.S. family histories and newsletters.  Copies at the library are listed in the [https://familysearch.org/#form=catalog&catSearchType=surname Last names Search] of the Family History Library Catalog.  To see a list of the most prominent indexed he Library also has several indexed genealogies

*The [[Newberry Library|Newberry Library]] of Chicago, Illinois has a collection of thousands of genealogies published before 1917 and includes an [http://www.newberry.org/genealogy/NLindex.html index] available at the library. Coverage is best for New England with secondary coverage for Midwestern and Mid-Atlantic states.
