Ifield St Margaret is an Ancient parish; Singlewell or Ifield is the name given to the area to the south of&nbsp; Gravesend in Kent. Singlewell or Shinglewell in some record sources is the modern name for the area within Gravesend.

The church contains some remaining Norman material but was rebuilt in 1595 and repaired in 1638, restored in 1838. It is designated as a grade II listed building by English Heritage. &nbsp; <br>
