:To promote and encourage the public and personal study of  world-wide family history, genealogy, heraldry, and local history with particular reference to the North of Ireland.

:Network representatives actively encourage and support the development and use of oral history in their own locality, and contribute an overview of this to an Annual Report.  Covers Belfast and Counties Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Londonderry, and Tyrone.

:The Ulster Archaeological Society is a charitable organisation open to anyone interested in archaeology and the wider study of our heritage particularly with regard to Ulster.  Our members come from all walks of life and from all sections of the community, encompassing all ages from students to retirees; amateurs and professionals.  We warmly welcome new members from Ireland and further afield.

:Ulster Historical Foundation is a not-for-profit educational charity, founded in 1956, with the simple yet important mission to tell the story of the people of the nine counties of Ulster.  The Foundation seeks to disseminate heritage and cultural knowledge and to generate and provide the research and educational resources necessary to support individuals, families, groups, educators, and global diasporas in understanding the history of Ulster.

:Carrickfergus and District Historical Society engages in promoting historical knowledge about Carrickfergus and the surrounding district.

:Whether you have lived all your life in or around Cullybackey, or are a newcomer you may have acquired some knowledge of the area which helps give us a sense of place.  This attachment to place and to name is not backward or contrary but real and embedded in our cultural heritage.  The names of our churches, of people and their habitats, our hills and glens, streets, and townlands are repositories of history and tradition that we must cherish and celebrate.

:Our intention is to provide an extensive range of historical and photographic information relating to the Glenravel area.  The Society would seek to further the study of the rich history, traditions, and folklore of the Glenravel area, and gather and preserve historical knowledge, culture, and objects of historical interest.

:Our society was formed in 1965, and is recognised as one of the foremost Historical Societies on the island of Ireland. On our site you will find an extensive range of historical and photographic information on The Glens of Antrim area of Northern Ireland.

:The primary purpose is to advance through education an appreciation and understanding of the history of the City of Lisburn, its culture and heritage, through regular monthly lectures, providing improved interpretative literature, publishing a society journal, and the provision of a website.  

:NALIL is a group interested mostly in genealogy but also in history, heritage, culture, current affairs, industry, geology and architecture.  It focuses on the baronies of Cary and Upper and Lower Dunluce in the north of County Antrim.

:Randalstown Historical Society was founded in 1994 and aims to advance the historical knowledge of the general public in Randalstown and its environs by the study and preservation of the history, cultural heritage, and antiquities of the region and the promotion of public interest and understanding of the above in all sections of the local community.

:The main objects and aims of the Society are to: 1) To promote local history and to keep the memories of those who went before us alive in the minds of the people of today and for future generations to ponder over, 2)  To record on paper & film or other illustrations of all social, economic, or other events associated with that area of Belfast lying west of the River Lagan, 3) The Preservation, where possible, of what we consider worth preserving of the fabric of our city, and 4) The encouragement amongst people to see their city as an interested stranger might: its good and its bad points.
