Tuesday, August 22, 10:30 am, Glenn Hammer will be teaching “Avoiding Duplicate Ordinances.” Glenn and his wife, Rose Maree, serve in the Payson FamilySearch Center. As Church Service Missionaries, they can help you build your FamilySearch Tree. Do you get frustrated with the duplication of ordinance submissions? Glenn will teach you ways to avoid duplications and the frustration it can cause.
Wednesday, August 23, at 1 pm, Randy Bronson will be teaching “Swedish Records”. Randy has spent extensive time researching Swedish records. Are you stuck or struggling with a line from Sweden?  Come to Randy’s class where you can learn ways to research Swedish Records and get help with your questions. Randy and his wife, Melanie, served as directors at the Payson Family History Center for 6 years.
Thursday, August 24th, at 7 pm,  Dennis Ransom will be teaching “Ancestry DNA Workshop: Thru-Lines & Colored Dot System.” Dennis has served at the  FamilySearch Center for over 10 years. He is our science guy. Don’t understand your DNA? This Workshop will help you create a family tree on Ancestry and link it to your DNA test results with all the correct options for visibility and sharing.  Using your Ancestry family tree matches list, we will explore  Clustering, ThruLines, and Color-code dots to organize your matches.
Thursday, August 24th, at 7 pm, Shelly Strand will be teaching in our computer room, “Research Resources – Record Finder.” This is a hands-on class. She will share resources to assist you in
your search for family records. Shelly just finished her bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Family History Research. This week, we will focus on using FamilySearch’s Record Finder. Learn about this tool that directs you to record types and collections that could have the information that answers your research question.
