| The 52nd Kentucky Infantry was recruited under the 20,000 call, Companies A-E were mustered in at Scottsville, Kentucky October 16th 1863 and Company D the 17th of October; Company F, November 12th 1863; Company G, December 21st, 1863 and Companies H, I and K on March 3rd 1864 at Franklin, Kentucky. They sustained a gallant record of bravery won by all Kentucky troops during the rebellion.
