The 2nd Regiment Heavy Artillery was originally recruited as the 19th Regiment Connecticut Infantry. On the 23rd of November 1863 the regiment was changed from an infantry to an artillery organization. The regiment was finally mustered out of service on August 18, 1865, at Washington, D.C. | |||
