Medina County District Library began on January 15, 1877 when a group of interested individuals founded the Medina Circulating Library Society. It wasn't until 30 years later that the library opened on its present site under the name The Franklin Sylvester Public Library. Today, the Medina County District Library system includes multiple branches and a bookmobile serving locations throughout Medina County, Ohio. The Virginia Wheeler Martin Family History & Learning Center is the newest addition to the MCDL system, having opened on December 6, 2020. | |||
