'''Society of Friends (Quakers)''' - One of the earliest "settlements" in the county was a short-lived agricultural school called Dennis' Station on the Wabash River near the county line with Wabash County. Later two meeting house were established in Jefferson Township: one at Pleasant Plain (1870-1915?) and one at Milo (c1893 -1915?).
