The Sons of the Republic of Texas (“SRT”) consists of members who are direct lineal descendants of those that settled the Republic of Texas prior to February 19, 1846, when Texas merged with the United States. Membership in the SRT began in April 1893. These records contain original membership applications and their supporting documentation. The original records are available at the Society's headquarters at Bay City, Texas.
