| New province!! The Province of Barletta-Andria-Trani was organized in 2004, with its own provincial authority starting in 2008. The three main centers, Barletta, Andria and Trani, share the functions of the provincial capital. The province includes ten comuni, seven of which previously belonged to the province of Bari and three to the province of Foggia. The postal abbreviation will be BT.

| The comuni of the province are Andria, Barletta, Bisceglie, Canosa di Puglia, Margherita di Savoia, Minervino Murge, San Ferdinando di Puglia, Spinazzola, Trani, and Trinitapoli. An important thing to remember is that these towns will be listed under the previous comuni in the FamilySearch Catalog.
