| The FamilySearch Wiki Support Team to assist the new missionaries in their training is assigning each a mentor. The object of this is not to just have someone to answer questions but for the mentor to guide, to teach and to keep track of the missionary's progress.

| *Each missionary will be assigned a mentor and the contact information will be included for the mentor in the missionary introduction letter. The mentor will also be given the contact information for the new missionary and ask to contact the missionary before any training begins.

| *The mentor can use this first contact to find out the goals the new missionary has in coming to the Wiki. The mentor can share an overview of what the Wiki is and the goals of the Support Team. The link to the [[FamilySearch Wiki:Missionary Training Preparation|Missionary Training Preparation]] lesson can be given to the new missionary.

Members of the Team will help by presenting the lessons as assigned by the Trainer and shown in the [[Schedule for Classes|Class Schedule]]. Mentors will come to lessons as needed and will review with the missionary the homework and the understanding the missionary has of the lesson. If needed the mentor will help to reschedule or will reteach any areas with which the missionary has problems. The whole Team will be a resource for all mentors and new missionaries.
