Their son, Lee Williams (3/8th Cherokee), married Maude L. Adair (5/64th Cherokee). Her grandparents came over the Trail of Tears to Indian Territory. She was a direct descendant in the sixth generation of James Adair (b.1709), who immigrated from Scotland to the English colonies, and was a trader among the Cherokee and Chickasaw tribes for forty years.
