It is possible to view the registers and copy details. However, there is limited space for personal research, and as the room where the registers are kept is also used for weddings there is no absolute guarantee that the facility will be available.
 
Indices to the Registers of Birth Marriage and Death from 1842 to about 2002 are available at the Société Jersiaise Library and at the Jersey Archive. The Jersey Archive also holds a set of intermediate copy registers of marriages (that is, those registers compiled by the parish registrars before being passed to the Superintendent Registrar) which can be ordered and searched.
