Ricaldone originated in the Middle Ages.

Jurisdictions:

  • 11th century: Part of the consortile of Barberio-Alice, within the marca aleramica.
  • 1178: Among the properties of the abbey of San Quintino di Spigno.
  • 1430: The Visconti gave the signoria of Ricaldone to the Marchesi di Incisa.

Major events:

  • In 1199 Ricaldone was destroyed by the Alessandrini. [1]
