The town of Rezzato was established on March 12, 1299. However, the oldest artifacts found in the area date back to the Neolithic period.
Jurisdictions:
- Middle Ages: Depended religiously and civilly on the monastery of Sant'Eufemia.
- 1429: Under the dominion of the Republic of Venice.
- Later: Under the temporary dominion of the Visconti.
- 18th century: Under the Napoleonic Empire, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
- 1859 to 1926: Part of the district of Brescia.
Major events:
- Summer of 1399: A Marian apparition in Valverde.
- March 22, 1848: The "fact of Rezzato," where volunteers and locals captured Austrian soldiers.
- Second Italian War of Independence: Scene of the Battle of Treponti.
- World War II: Suffered 43 Allied air raids.[1]
