Quebec in the Canadian Censuses
Population Schedules - Online Records
The first census in Canada was in 1851. Quebec was called Canada East (also known as Lower Canada) in the 1851 and 1861 Censuses. Starting in 1871, it was known as the province of Quebec and is included in all Canada Censuses thereafter.
