Its origins date back to around 1100. A document from 1050 mentions the area, but it was likely primarily grazing land at that time. Permanent settlement began with shepherds from Tesero building huts, gradually establishing permanent homes.

Jurisdictions:

  • A document from 1050 defines the border between the Diocese of Trento and the Diocese of Bressanone, suggesting the area was within the sphere of influence of one or both.
  • Later, Predazzo was under a Feudal Rule resulting from investitures by the prince bishops.
