Malacca (Malay: Melaka; Tamil: மலாக்கா; Chinese: 馬六甲) is located in the southern region of the Peninsula Malaysia. Its capitol is Malacca City, and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The head of state is the Yang di-Pertua Negeri or governor. The state of Malacca covers an area of 1,664 km2 (642 sq miles). [1]
