Major events:

From the 17th century onwards, the economy of the country was marked by famines, plagues, and, above all, repeated floods.
The plague reached Lodrino in June 1630.
In 1764 and 1775, Valtrompia experienced two famines, preceded by an epidemic of contagious diseases in 1761 and 1762.
During the anti-Austrian uprising of 1848, several young people who refused to join the Austrian army fled to Switzerland via Lodrino and then Val Sabbia.^[1]
