Description[edit | edit source]

Kings County was created 23 May 1893[1] and was named for the Kings River, which was originally named the El Rio de los Santos Reyes (River of the Holy Kings) after the Three Wise Men of the Bible. Its county seat is Hanford. It is located in the central area of the state [2]
