Imèr became independent in 1797. It was one of four "regole" of Primiero since the 11th century.

Jurisdictions:

  • 11th Century: Part of the "regole" of Primiero.
  • Until end of World War I: Border between the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Kingdom of Italy. Trentino-Alto Adige, including Imèr, was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
  • After World War I: Part of Italy (as part of Trentino-Alto Adige).

Major events:

  • Early November 1966: Severe flood caused significant damage and one death in Imèr.
  • 1565 to early 20th Century: Mining operations in the area above Imèr (I Solivi) for copper, silver, lead, and iron.[1]
