Harlem is an extinct town, now part of China, Maine. Harlem was organized as a town from Winslow formerly Lincoln County (now Kennebec County) in 1796. Part of Harlem was annexed to China in 1818, and the remainder was annexed in 1822.[1]
County. Kennebec County was set off from Lincoln County in 1799.
