Parish History

GUILDFORD, a borough and market - town, having separate jurisdiction, and the head of a union, locally in the First division of the hundred of Woking, W. division of Surrey, 30 miles (S. W.) from London. There was likewise a house of Crouched friars; but of these no remains exist. There are places of worship for Baptists, the Society of Friends, Independents, and Wesleyans.[1]
