How to find birth records, marriage records and death records, Ireland Civil

Civil registration of births, marriages, and deaths began in Ireland in 1864. The registration of non-Catholic marriages began in 1845. Before these years, search for church records.

Birth - Where can I find birth records?

Start here:

• 1864-1921: Ireland Civil Records Search at IrishGenealogy.ie (images available for all years)  - How to navigate website 1. Put in search parameters.
2. Click the box "I'm not a robot".
3. Put in first and last name (will not be contacted) and check the box underneath.
4. Choose a record in results.
5. Click on "image" (located near the bottom) to view the actual image of the record.
