FamilySearch Wiki:WikiProject Update Denmark Parish Pages
Purpose[edit | edit source]
We have organized all the information for the new Denmark parish page layout, and now we need to add it to the Denmark parish pages.

Task List[edit | edit source]
Instructions[edit | edit source]
1. Open the Task List, and navigate to a county tab you'd like to work on.
- If the tab is green, then it means that county has been completed.
Assess Current Parish Page[edit | edit source]
2. In the search box on the FS Wiki, search your parish name (make sure the parish and county match the one you're working on from the task list).
3. Look at the parish page as it currently is on the Wiki. The following headings should have been deleted:
- Birth, Marriage, and Death Online Records
- Collections
- Related Sources
- FamilySearch Library Records
If any of those headings still exist on the parish page still, put HEADING in the Name and Date column of the task list and continue on to the next parish. This lets me know that something in that section on that parish page is unique and needs to be assessed before it's deleted.
4. If there are any new headings that aren't typical on the page (such as a tax-related heading with unique records, or any heading other than "History", "Place Names", and "References"), put NEW in the Name and Date column of the task list, and continue on to the next parish.
5. Next, click "View history" on the parish page and check to see if there have been any edits to the parish page since October 2023 (edits that weren't done by Amber). If another user edited the page or added new content since October, we may not have extracted the new content in the previous project. Put USER in the Name and Date column of the task list and continue on to the next page.
New Parish Page Content[edit | edit source]
6. Finally, if none of the things from step 3-5 apply on your parish page, go back to the task list spreadsheet.
7. Select all the content on the parish page on the Wiki, and Delete all the code. Then go to back to your parish on the task list.
8. Copy the code for your parish in Column F of the task list, and paste it in the empty parish page.
9. Right before the breadcrumb at the top, and right after the last Category code at the bottom of the page, there will likely be quotation marks. Delete both quotation marks.
10. Click "Show preview" and look the page over and make sure it looks ok.
11. Put the following in the Summary statement:
Project updating/standardizing parish page content.
12. Save page, and continue on to the next parish in the task list.
13. Once a whole county on the task list is completed, mark the tab as Green.
