Instructions For Montana County pages[edit | edit source]
There two steps in this project:
Step 1 - Fix County Courthouse[edit | edit source]
1. Go to the Task List and sign up for a span of counties in Montana to work on.
2. Bold the county courthouse name by adding 3 apostrophes around the courthouse name
3. Remove the bold from the Website link (remove the 3 apostrophes) and make sure there is a space between the link and the name of the county so the link still works.
4. Add or confirm there are two spaces (example: <br><br>) after the website link.
5. Fix any space issues you see.
Example: of correct wikitext code:
'''Roosevelt County Courthouse'''<br> 400 2nd Ave South<br>Wolf Point, MT 59201<br>Phone: 406.653.6250<br>[http://www.rooseveltcounty.com/ Roosevelt County Website]<br><br>
6. Preview the page to make sure it looks correct. Make any necessary corrections.
7. In the Edit Summary field, type in: Fixed Courthouse section and save the page.
8. Go to Step 2 below.
Step 2 - Fix Boundary Changes[edit | edit source]
1. Go to the Boundary Changes heading under County Information at the top of the page.
2. Move the Parent County and County seat info to be just above the two links for the Interactive Formation Boundary Map of Montana.
3. Change Parent County from italics to bold by adding an apostrophe (you need 3) and put a bullet in front of it.
4. Add the name of the county directly behind "Parent County:" making it a complete sentence. For example, “Roosevelt County was created on”
5. If there is an additional date listed with information, change the date to bold and make sure a bullet is in front of it.
6. Change County seat from italics to bold by adding an apostrophe (you need 3) and put a bullet in front of it.
7. Fix any space issues in the sentences – like a space after the colon and before the next word.
