Rename Swedish Parishes
Purpose
Swedish parishes wiki pages were incorrectly named. We need to add the county name on each Swedish parish article name.
Task List
Instructions
1. Go to the Task List and sign out a span of parishes.
2. Use the link in the Task List to get to the County page. Copy the name of the county in the title of the wiki article. DO NOT include the word "county" in the title of the article.
3. Go down on the county page to the list of parishes and navigate to the first parish on your list.
4. Analyze the title of the page. It will either be like the following ways:
- Augerum parish, Sweden Genealogy
- Blekinge: Aspö parish, Sweden Genealogy
5. Whatever way the page is currently titled, it needs to instead look like:
- Asarum Parish, Blekinge, Sweden Genealogy
- Asarum Parish, Blekinge, Sweden Genealogy
6. Once you are on the parish page and you know how to change the title, hover over, More next to the Search box in the top right hand corner.
7. Choose "Move" in the drop down menu.
8. The system automatically adds the current title of the wiki page into New Title field. You will just alter the name already in the field:
- FIRST: Change the lowercase p in the word parish to a capital P.
- SECOND: Add the county name by pasting the title of the county with appropriate commas.
- NOTE: To match all of the Danish parish pages, we are not adding the word, "County" to the title of the page. We are leaving it out.
- FIRST: Change the lowercase p in the word parish to a capital P.
9. In the Reason: field type in, "incorrectly titled"
10. Once the page is correctly titled and the reason filled in, click on the blue button, Move Page.
11. Once you have moved the page, go on to the next parish wiki page to rename.
