Purpose[edit | edit source]

Update England parish pages with multiple tables:

  • Check Breadcrumbs
  • Add "Find neighboring parishes" section
  • Place final update of parish tables on all England Parish pages.

Instructions[edit | edit source]

Clarification each county has specific instructions on the Task List next to the name of the county:

Step 1: Update Breadcrumb Template (if needed)[edit | edit source]

  1. Open the Task List and place your name next to the parish you want to edit. Click on the link and go to the parish page.
  2. Click on the Edit Source button at the top of the page.
  3. Check the breadcrumb. If it looks like this image, go to Step 2

  5. Update the breadcrumb with this template

  9. Save the page and move on to the next step.

  4. Copy and paste the following code directly below the heading:

New Subheadings and Chapelry Lists[edit | edit source]

  1. Scroll passed the Civil Registration section to the ===Church Records=== heading.
  2. Delete the Church Records heading.
  3. Important:
    Check how many chapelries are on the old colorful table.
  4. Parish no chapelry
  5. Add the following:

  3. Change PARISH NAME to the name of the parish that you are editing
  4. Click Show Preview to make sure that everything was edited correctly. It should look like the following:

  5. The updated Non-Conformists section should look similar to this:

  6. Fix anything that looks incorrect
  7. Type Project: update main parish page in the summary box.
  8. Save the page.
  9. Return to task list. Place the date you completed the page and move onto the next parish.
