Purpose[edit | edit source]
Update England parish pages with multiple tables:
- Check Breadcrumbs
- Add "Find neighboring parishes" section
- Place final update of parish tables on all England Parish pages.

Clarification each county has specific instructions on the Task List next to the name of the county:

Step 1: Update Breadcrumb Template (if needed)[edit | edit source]
- Open the Task List and place your name next to the parish you want to edit. Click on the link and go to the parish page.
- Click on the Edit Source button at the top of the page.
- Check the breadcrumb. If it looks like this image, go to Step 2
- If it looks this image
- Update the breadcrumb with this template

- Change TITLE OF ARTICLE by copy and pasting the current title into the template before the pipe.
- Change PARISH NAME to the name of the parish only.
- Type Project: update breadcrumb template in the summary box.
- Save the page and move on to the next step.
Step 2: Update Resources and Church Records[edit | edit source]
- We will be making the following changes to the page:
- Click on the Edit Source button next to Resources
- Copy and paste the following code directly below the heading:

New Subheadings and Chapelry Lists[edit | edit source]
- Scroll passed the Civil Registration section to the ===Church Records=== heading.
- Delete the Church Records heading.
- Important:
Check how many chapelries are on the old colorful table.
- Parish no chapelry
- Add the following:

- Once names and dates are in the new chapelry list/table above, delete the old table, stopping under =====Non-Conformist Churches===== heading.
- Leave any dates under the Non-Conformists Records section that look like this:

- 1810-1987 Wiltshire, England, Non-Conformist Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1810-1987 at Ancestry ($); index and images (dates may vary by parish)
- Make sure to leave the information and only update the header.
- Delete any Non-Conformist Tables. All information in and under the Non-Conformists Tables are outdated.

New Parish Table[edit | edit source]
- Copy and paste the following code under the new chapelry list.
- Change PARISH NAME to the name of the parish that you are editing
- Click Show Preview to make sure that everything was edited correctly. It should look like the following:
- The updated Non-Conformists section should look similar to this:
Non-Conformists (All other Religions)[edit | edit source]
- 1717 England & Wales, Roman Catholics, 1717 at Findmypast ($), index and images (coverage may vary)
- 1647-1996 England, Lancashire Non-conformist Church Records, 1647-1996 at FamilySearch - How to Use this Collection; index (dates may vary by parish)
- Fix anything that looks incorrect
- Type Project: update main parish page in the summary box.
- Save the page.
- Return to task list. Place the date you completed the page and move onto the next parish.
