Purpose

The purpose of this project is to make the following changes to the Huntingdonshire County parish pages:

• Add "Find neighboring parishes" section.
• Place final update of parish tables on all England Parish pages.
• Delete Talk page content.

Huntingdonshire Parishes

Instructions

1. Open the Task List and place your name next to the parish you want to edit. Click on the link and go to the parish page.



2. We will be making the following changes to the page:




3. Click on the Edit Source button next to Resources



4. Copy and paste the following code directly below the heading:

::*Click on the location ''pin'' on the map
::*Choose ''Options'' from the pop up box
::*Click "List Contiguous Parishes" to find the neighboring parishes<br>



5. Scroll down to the ===Church Records=== heading. Delete everything under that heading. Stop when you get to the ===Census Records=== heading.



6. If there are any dates under the Non-Conformists Records section that look like this:

   Non-Conformist Records

   • 1810-1987 Wiltshire, England, Non-Conformist Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1810-1987 at Ancestry ($); index & images (dates may vary by parish)
     

   Make sure to leave the information and only update the header.
   
   

   • Or if it looks like this:

   Non-Conformist Churches

   Aldridge Wesleyan Methodist Chapel parish registers of christenings, marriages and burials are available online for the following years
   

   WESLEYAN METHODIST CHAPEL (1852) Online Records
   	Baptisms		Marriages		Burials
   	Indexes	Images	Indexes	Images	Indexes	Images
   FREG	1852-1961

   Deposited parish registers at Walsall Local History Centre.
   
   Make sure to leave the table and only update the header

   • Please leave a note for me in the comments section, which states, "table in non-conformist section". Then I can notate it to be fixed/removed in a future project.
     
     

   The updated Non-Conformists section should look like this.

8. Change PARISH NAME to the name of the parish that you are editing



9. Click Show Preview to make sure that everything was edited correctly. It should look like the following:




10. Fix anything that looks incorrect.



11. Type Project: update main parish page in the summary box.



12. Save the page and move on to the next step.



13. Go to the Talk Page. This can be found on the upper left-hand corner of the page.



14. Click on the Edit Source button at the top of the page. Delete all of the parish table information from the page and leave any other unrelated comments.




15. Save the talk page.



16. Return to task list. Place the date you completed the page and move onto the next parish.

This website requires a paid subscription for full access. Some subscription websites are available for free at your local FamilySearch Center or Affiliate Library.
