Step 1: Finding Newspapers for your county[edit | edit source]

1. Go to the Newspaper Heading in the county and copy and paste the following on the county page in wikitext:


'' New Mexico Newspapers Online''

*[http://www.genealogybank.com/explore/newspapers/all/usa/new-mexico GenealogyBank] - ($), contains images of Nebraska newspapers
*[http://newspaperarchive.com/us/new-mexico/ Newspaper Archive] - ($), contains images of Nebraska newspapers
*[http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/ Chronicling America] - contains images of some New Mexico newspapers; [http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/help/#basic_searching searching tips]
*[http://elephind.com/ Elephind] - Free; search engine that retrieves newspaper images from other free newspaper websites

''Nebraska Newspaper Catalogs''
*[http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/search/titles/ U.S. Newspaper Directory, 1690-Present] on Chronicling America - contains a list of all known newspapers and the dates they cover; once you locate a newspaper name, contact the local library to see if they have copies of the newspaper


2. NOTE: If there are already listings under the Newspapers heading, add them under New Mexico Newspapers Online above.

Step 2: Saving the page[edit | edit source]

1. Once you have added the wikitext, preview the page by clicking on, Show Preview at the bottom of the page. Check your work to make sure it looks like it should. Make any necessary adjustments.


2. Go to the bottom of the page and enter "added newspaper links" in the edit summary box and save the page.

3. Check your work.

4. You are now done with the task. Go to the next County on your list.
