Step 2 - Add Plat Map Links[edit | edit source]

1. Go back to the wikitext code that starts with two bullets under the Kansas Historical Society link. You will need to replace the information in the link for the specific plat map for the county you are working on.

2. Go back to the Kansas Historical Society url provided in the first bullet.

3. Find the county you are working on in the list. If there is a plat map available, right click on the link and open it in a new tab.

4. Review the information in the top left hand corner to replace the info in the link as listed below.

5. Copy the URL in the address bar of the website and paste it over the URL in the link.

6. Find the date of the plat map under in the top left hand corner, under Creator and paste it over the word, YEAR in the link.

7. Replace the word, COUNTY with the county the plat map is for.

8. If there is an additional plat map on the list, copy the link you just created and paste it directly under the link. Replace the information using the instructions listed above. Do this for each plat map on the Kansas Historical Society list. See the example below for Allen County, Kansas.

Step 3 - Save the page[edit | edit source]

1. Once you have added the additional plat maps, preview the page by clicking on, Show Preview at the bottom of the page. Check your work to make sure it looks like it should. Make any necessary adjustments.

2. Go to the bottom of the page and enter "added land databases" in the edit summary box and save the page.

3. You are now done with the task. Go to the next County on your list.
