FamilySearch Wiki:WikiProject Danish Infoboxes Part 2
Purpose
The Danish county jurisdictions were changed in 1793-1794. The parish infoboxes reflect the county each one belonged to both before and after this change. This is an important distinction in research, as it can greatly influence where genealogists look for their records.

Instructions
Step 1 - Pick a set of Parishes
1. Go to the Task List and sign up for a span of wiki pages to fix.
2. Go to the first parish page in your respective span of pages.
Step 2 - Using the Denmark Parish List
3. In a new tab/window, go to the Denmark Parish List and select the respective section of the alphabet that matches your parish name.
4. Locate your parish name in the list.
- If there are multiple parishes with the same name, verify your parish name by comparing the information in your parish infobox with the respective Herred and Amt information in the Parish List.
Step 3 - Add Information to Infobox
5. Compare the information from the infobox with the information from the Parish List for the following categories:
- Amt (county) 1662 - 1793
- Amt (county) 1794-1970
- Herred (district)
6. Add any respective information from the Parish List to the infobox.
- NOTE 1: For years 1662-1793, the Parish List may say "Len" instead of "Amt". Treat it as if it says "Amt" and transfer the information to the infobox.
- NOTE 2: Many parishes already have the above information filled out. If that is the case, double-check the information, and move on to the next parish.
7. If the Parish List entry for your parish only says "See NAME OF OTHER PARISH", go to the respective parish in the Parish List and use that information.
- Example: Hjallerup Parish: Parish List says simply "see Dronninglund". The information for the Hjallerup infobox will then come from the Dronninglund entry in the Parish List.
If there is a problem or a question about any of these parishes, email amberlarsen@familysearch.org with the parish information or contact through Yammer.
