Creating Irish Catholic Parish pages
PURPOSE[edit | edit source]
There are now online images to Irish Catholic Church records available for free. We are creating Catholic Parish pages so we can link to these images. There will be other projects in the future to help fill out these pages.

Task List[edit | edit source]
INSTRUCTIONS[edit | edit source]
1. Go to the Task List to sign up for a group of parishes in a county.
2. Once you have an assignment, copy the page title listed next to the parish name on the task name.
3. Go back to the wiki and create a page matching the same naming pattern here:
Lislee Catholic Parish, County Cork Genealogy
For example, if you were doing Abbeymahon in Cork County, the page would be called: Abbeymahon Catholic Parish, County Cork Genealogy.
4. Once the page is created, go to wikitext and copy the following to the page:
''[[Ireland]] [[Image:Gotoarrow.png]] [[County FIRST]] [[Image:Gotoarrow.png]] [[County FIRST Catholic Parishes]]''
Guide to '''SECOND Catholic Parish, County FIRST ancestry, family history, and genealogy'''. Parish registers, transcripts, baptism records, marriage records, and burial records.

5. Replace the following:
- The word, FIRST with the name of the county
- The word, SECOND with the name of the Parish
6. In the edit summary field add, Created Catholic parish page and save the page.
7. Check the links you have created to make sure they are correct. Your page should look like the following: Lislee Catholic Parish, County Cork Genealogy.
8. Go back to the task list to get the next Catholic Parish page to create and repeat the above instructions.
