Project Instructions

1. Select a county from the task list and put your name in the name column.

2. Go to the heading "vital records" and check under the subheadings "birth" and "death" to see if Missouri Digital Heritage's birth and death indexes are listed. If both are listed, select another county and return to step 1. If not listed, go to the next step. If one is listed and not the other, check to see if it is properly formatted. You can skip it if it listed in the correct format. Example:

For births

For deaths

3. Look at the list of indexes under the birth heading and determine where to place the link, so the list is in chronological order by coverage dates.

4. To add the link for births, copy and paste the code below. Place it in the existing list so they are in chronological order.

*'''Pre-1910''' [https://s1.sos.mo.gov/records/archives/archivesdb/birthdeath/Default.aspx#searchDB Missouri Birth and Death Records Database, Pre-1910] at Missouri Digital Heritage - index.

5. Look at the list of indexes under the death heading and determine where to place the link, so the list is in chronological order by coverage dates.

6. To add the link for deaths, copy and paste the code below.

*'''1910-1960''' [https://s1.sos.mo.gov/records/Archives/ArchivesMvc/DeathCertificates#searchDB Missouri Death Certificates, 1910-1969] at Missouri Digital Heritage - index and images.
