Instructions[edit | edit source]

1. Go to the Task List and sign out a group of counties.

2. Go to your first county and look under the headings Military Records and Civil War and see if these records already appear.

U.S., Confederate Soldiers Compiled Service Records, 1861-1865
U.S., Union Soldiers Compiled Service Records, 1861-1865

There may be a set of similar records, but with different dates. If that is the case, you will want to add these. If these already appear on the page go on to your next county.

3. If the Military Records and Civil War headings do not already appear, you will need to add them
=== Military Records ===
==== Civil War ====

If there are already headings there, do not change their level.

4. Under the Civil War heading, copy and paste the record onto the page. Reminder, you will need to be in wikitext to do this.

5. Once you have done this, enter Added Civil War Records in the Edit Summary Box and save your work. Check to make sure your headings and records appear as they should. Once you have done this, you are ready to move to the next county.
