Instructions[edit | edit source]

1. Go to the Task List and sign out a section of counties in a state to work on.

2. On the first county page, go down to the Record Dates heading. If you were on the Aurora County page, it would be called, Aurora County Record Dates.

3. Go to the state you are working on and copy the correct Record Dates intro to paste on the county page. Paste the template directly under the heading, Beginning Record Dates and before the Beginning Record Dates table:

ARKANSAS:
{{AR Records Intro}}

KANSAS:
{{KS Records Intro}}

Change title of the table[edit | edit source]

4. For every state, replace from the first line of the table: Beginning Dates for Major County Records with the following wikitext:

Known Beginning Dates for Major Records

5. Preview the page to make sure the links and information look correct.

6. Add to the Summary field, "Fixed beginning dates table" and save the page.

7. Once you are finished with your section of counties, go back to the Task List and add the date you completed it.
