Project Instructions[edit | edit source]

Add the FamilySearch Places County Link to the Cemeteries Section of the TOWN Page[edit | edit source]


Step One[edit | edit source]


  • Choose a Town from the Task List
  • Copy and paste this Wikitext code into the "Cemeteries" section, "Edit Source" of the Town page, after the Find A Grave and FamilySearch Catalog links

Step Two[edit | edit source]


  • Right click on the link below and choose the "Open link in incognito window"


  • Type the name of your county and state in the search box

  • Select the top search result
  • The County chosen is Providence County, Rhode Island


  • Click the blue target-shaped icon next to county name

  • Click the link that says "add filter"

  • Type cemetery into the "place type" search box and select cemetery

  • Copy the URL in the search results

Creating the Link[edit | edit source]


  • Highlight the "URL" and paste it into the link you copied


  • Copy and paste the name of the County into "COUNTY" County Cemeteries] at FamilySearch Places


  • Make sure that there is a space between the URL and the name of the COUNTY
  • Here is and example of what the link would look like
  • Please do not copy

  • All steps are now finished for the Town and County that was chosen from the Task List
  • Move on to the next Town and County on the Task List and start over at the top of the instructions
