Parish History

EDWINSTOWE (St. Mary), a parish, in the union of Southwell, Hatfield division of the hundred of Bassetlaw, N. division of the county of Nottingham, 1½ mile (W. by S.) from Ollerton; comprising the townships of Budby, Clipstone, and Edwinstowe, and the chapelries of Carburton, Ollerton, and Perlethorpe. There is a place of worship for Wesleyans.[1]
