How to make a Descendancy Groups[edit | edit source]

  1. Make sure you have a Facebook Account
  2. Next to the question mark icon at the top of the screen click on the down arrow
  3. Click on "Create Group"
  4. Name your group
  5. Add People to your group (You must add at least one person)
  6. Select privacy
    • Public Group - People can search for this group and view the posts within. People will still have to "Join" the group in order to post. These groups are beneficial because you can share pictures and documents without allowing everyone to post.
    • Closed Group - People can search for the group but can only see who has joined the group. Posts are not visible to the public. These are good if you only want people in the group to see the posts but still allow people to find the group.
    • Secret Group - This is only visible to members. People cannot search for the group. You have to send a share link in order to allow people to join.
  7. You can choose an icon or skip it
  8. You have just created your group. You can add a photo create posts add members and start sharing your information with your relatives. Have fun!
