The first Bahá'í settlers in the country came in 1953 and by 1963 there were 143 local assemblies in Congo. [1]

Approximately 10 percent of the country's population identify as Muslim. Particularly prominent in the east of the country, Islam has been present since the 18th century. [2]

Emerging in the early 1920s the Kimbanguist Church is now one of only 3 Christian Churches recognized by the state in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. [3]
