Historical Societies[edit | edit source]
No formal history society for Croatia could be found. However there is a history museum that could be of great help.

Croatian Fraternal Union[edit | edit source]
The Croatian Fraternal Union (CFU) can be a great source of information for those seeking information on their ancestors. For example, a lot of Croatians applied for life insurance policies and, as a result, had to complete an application for membership in the CFU. That application gave a lot of personal information about the individual and even had their signature. Then when the policy holder died the payout on the insurance also provided additional information. Writing to the CFU is their preferred way to communicate. There website says that requests for insurance matters will require a hard or paper copy with signature. The website has further information. Click here.
The mailing address for the CFU is: 100 Delaney Dr. Pittsburgh, PA 15235
