  • In 1909, a group of Chileans settled on the southern shore of Lake General Carrera.
  • The commune of Chile Chico was created in 1959 with the name of Lake Buenos Aires. They changed the name later to Chile Chico.
  • The district of Chile Chico has a population of approximately 4,600 people[1].
