- The Llŷn Maritime Museum holds a unique collection of around 400 artefacts associated with the maritime heritage and history of Nefyn and the Llŷn Peninsula. This includes artefacts, paintings, pictures, model ships, anchors, photographs, and documents.

- Porthmadog lies on the northern shores of Cardigan Bay on the west coast of the United Kingdom. It has a long maritime history going back to the days when the district was remote and transport was easier by sea. The museum, situated in the last remaining slate shed on the harbour, has a large collection of artefacts depicting the seafaring activities of the area – the development of the port, the shipbuilding, the ships, and the lives of the seafarers.

- The Museum is housed in two towers of Caernarfon Castle. In it you will find a wealth of original exhibits, supported by film, sound, and models, which tell the story of over 300 years of service by Wales’ oldest infantry regiment, in peacetime and in war, all around the world.
Record Offices[edit | edit source]
The General Register Office holds a central copy of all birth, marriage, and death registrations in England. These certificates can be ordered from their website (a login is required but it is free to register and search).
