  • 157 BC: The resistance of the Liguri Velleiati was defeated by the Roman legions.
  • XIII century: The Fieschi family appeared in the Valtarese.
  • 1547: The Fieschi abandoned Borgo after the failed conspiracy of Gianluigi Fieschi against the Republic of Genoa.
  • February 23, 1578: The Landi were driven out.
  • 1636: Imperial troops entered Borgo Val di Taro and returned the town to the Doria.
  • 1646: Borgo Val di Taro entered the Farnese Duchy.
  • 1821 and 1831: Carbonari uprisings.
  • World War II: Borgo Val di Taro was awarded the Gold Medal for Military Valor for its participation in the Liberation War.
